My Opinion – RX 6700 for STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor

In my opinion, the RX 6700 is a nominal step up from the RX 6600 when it comes to performance in Jedi: Survivor.

In my view, the RX 6700 is one of the best entry-level graphics cards for playing STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor at 1440P resolution You can expect to get around 60 frames per second (perhaps a bit less, say 55-60) with Epic settings, provided that your other components don’t cause any bottlenecks.

If you switch to High settings, you should get even better performance. However, you should not expect to be able to play the game with Ray Tracing enabled at 1440P and still achieve that level of performance. This might be possible at 1080P, but not at 1440P.

It’s important to note that this graphics card is not suitable for playing the game at 4K resolution. For that purpose, you’ll need a higher-end graphics card like the RX 6800 or better.

Overview of the RX 6700 and How it Compares to Others

The RX 6700 is a graphics card from AMD, released in March 2021 as part of their Radeon RX 6000 series. It is designed as a mid-range card that offers good performance at 1440P resolution in gaming, while being relatively affordable compared to higher-end cards.

The RX 6700 is based on the RDNA 2 architecture and features 12GB of GDDR6 memory, a 192-bit memory interface, and 2,304 stream processors. It has a base clock speed of 2,321 MHz and a boost clock speed of 2,424 MHz. The card is compatible with PCIe 4.0 and supports DirectX 12 Ultimate, Vulkan, and OpenGL 4.6.

In terms of performance, the RX 6700 is generally considered to be a solid choice for gaming at 1440P resolution, although it may struggle with certain games at higher graphics settings or resolutions. It competes with other mid-range cards such as the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 and 3060 Ti.

Overall, the RX 6700 is a good choice for gamers who want to play at 1440P resolution without breaking the bank, while still enjoying decent performance and the latest graphics technologies.

System Requirements for Jedi: Survivor vs RX 6700

STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor, the latest installment in the Star Wars gaming franchise, demands some of the most powerful hardware in the industry. Unfortunately, the game is not well-optimized for PC gaming, which further compounds the difficulty for players seeking a smooth and immersive experience.

To meet the game’s minimum requirements, players must have at least 16GB of RAM and a graphics card with a minimum of 8GB of VRAM. This high bar for entry may pose a challenge for those with limited financial resources or less powerful hardware, who may need to upgrade their systems in order to play the game.

While the high system requirements are necessary to deliver the game’s stunning graphics and immersive gameplay, they do present a challenge for some players.

Minimum System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • RAM: 8Gb
  • CPU Features: 4 core / 8 threads
  • CPU* AMD: Ryzen 5 1400
  • GPU** AMD: Radeon RX 580
  • GPU Features: DX12, 8Gb VRAM
  • Storage: 155Gb
  • *CPU alternate: Intel Core i7-7700
  • **GPU alternate: Nvidia GTX 1070

Recommended System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • RAM: 16Gb
  • CPU Features: 4 core / 8 threads
  • CPU* AMD: Ryzen 5 5600X
  • GPU** AMD: RX 6700 XT
  • GPU Features: DX12, 8Gb VRAM
  • Storage: 155Gb SSD
  • *CPU alternate: Intel Core i5 11600K
  • **GPU alternate: Nvidia RTX2070

Here’s a comparison table between the RX 6700, RX 6700 XT (recommended), and RX 580 (minimum) based on their key specifications:
