Can I Run Modern Warfare 2 (2022) with a GTX 1050 Ti?
System Requirements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Let’s take a look at the system requirements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Warzone 2.0). The bare minimum requirements call for an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon RX 470. The GTX 1050 is an entire generation above the minimum requirements. The recommended requirements call for a GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580.
MINIMUM:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows® 10 64 Bit (latest update)
Processor: Intel® Core™ i3-6100 / Core™ i5-2500K or AMD Ryzen™ 3 1200
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 960 or AMD Radeon™ RX 470 – DirectX 12.0 compatible system
DirectX: Version 12
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 125 GB available space
RECOMMENDED:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system

DirectX: Version 12
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 125 GB available space
The GTX 1050 Ti falls somewhere in between the recommended system requirements and the minimum system requirements, but how far of are we talking about? For that, let’s take a look at the GTX 1050 Ti compared to the GTX 1060 graphics card.
GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Performance for COD MW2
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 | |
CUDA Cores | 768 | 1280 |
Graphics Clock | 1290 | 1506 |
Processor Clock | 1392 | 1708 |
Memory Clock | 7 Gbps | 6 Gbps |
VRAM Size | 4 GB | 6 GB |
Memory Interface | GDDR5 | GDDR5 |
As you can see from the table above, the GeForce GTX 1060 has a little bit of a jump on the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. The one advantage of the 1050 Ti which is a staple within the Ti’s is that its memory is a little faster. This means you may have to turn down your in-game settings a little bit in order to get the kind of performance you want without getting into any choppy game play or stuttering.
I also made a benchmark, showing the performance of the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti against Warzone 2.0 which you can find here:
This video shows that although you can run Warzone 2.0 on NVIDIA’s GTX 1050 Ti, it suffers a bit on Ultra settings. You need to play this on lower graphics settings (Balanced) in order to get the best performance.
PC Hardware Used for the Benchmark:
- AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
- 16GB RAM
- 512GB SSD NVME 2.0
- 650W PSU

Conclusion
That wraps up this assessment on using the GTX 1050 Ti for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022). You should expect decent performance from the 1050 Ti, and you may even tweak the in-game settings better to get a more immersive experience. Just keep in mind that the higher your graphics settings, the lower performance you can expect. Once you start seeing stuttering, then revert back to the previous settings you had. Also, you shouldn’t buy a 1050 Ti card at this point. You can find better deals. Read my article on the cheapest graphics cards for COD MW2 to learn more.
