The purpose of this post is to discuss the COD MW2 2022 Open Beta Release date and potential leaks. According to Comicbook.com, Amazon has unintentionally leaked the open Beta release date for COD MW2 2022. A posting on the site, which is no longer there read:
“Pre-order Modern Warfare Il for any platform by August 15th, 2022 to unlock early access to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Open Beta. Must be shipped and sold by Amazon. Codes will be sent on August 15th,”

The text does not explicitly state that the open beta will start on August 15th. It states that codes will be sent on August 15th. A person could infer that the open beta will start on that date. It would make sense for Activision to start the open beta as soon as possible in order to give developers time to fix bugs.

You can pre-order from retailers like the Microsoft Store, Playstation, Battle.net or Steam to be eligible. Once you receive your codes, you can visit callofduty.com/betaredeem to sign up for early access.
Update on Beta Release – Now Due Mid-September
Update 7/4/2022: According to Ralph Valve, the Beta is rumored to start in mid-September. It will first be released on PS4 and PS5, then will release on XBox, Battle.net and Steam.
COD MW2 2022 Official Release Date
The official release date for COD MW2 2022 is October 28th, 2022. It would make sense that Warzone 2.0 will likely follow in December. According to CharlieINTEL, COD MW2 2022 developers stated that fans could expect Warzone 2.0 to come this year, but would not be bundled with the game. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (2022) is set to be a blockbuster game of the year.
Gamers who choose to play on PC will need to review their system requirements to make sure that their PCs will be able to handle COD MW2 2022. Official system requirements have not been released yet. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will launch on PC, Playstation, and Xbox platforms.
