The purpose of this article is to discuss Diablo 4’s system requirements. Anyone who wants to play Diablo 4 next year is wondering if their PC will be able to handle the game. That is especially true if they are faced with upgrading their PC this year. The system requirements for Diablo 4 have not been released yet, according to their support page (Battle.net).

Diablo 4 Press Release
Although we don’t know the system requirements for Diablo 4 yet, there is quite a bit we do know about the game. Diablo 4’s press release on June 12, 2022, had a lot of information. The world of Diablo 4 will be returning to the realm of Sanctuary to battle Lilith once again. Also returning to the fray will be the Necromancer, Barbarian, Sorceress, Rogue, and Druid classes.
There will be a lot of attractive features in the game for players. That includes over 140 dungeons, side quests, bosses, and PvP zones. Diablo 4 will provide the player a nonlinear progression, which means that there is no one path to beating the game.
For the first time, players will also have the ability to conquer and convert strongholds into friendly outposts. The game also features paragon boards for customizing characters. Paragon boards will keep players’ interest beyond max level. There will also be the Tree of Whispers, which exists for unlocking legendary gear.
The Diablo 4 developer show case presents the ability to create or own character and customize it the way you want. It also showed us that Diablo 4 will be a shared world. That means that groups of players can band together to defeat world bosses.

Speculating Diablo 4 System Requirements
Again, Diablo 4 system requirements have not been announced yet, but this post will be updated with that information once it is released. The Diablo franchise has not been known for needing intense graphics during gameplay, unlike Elden Ring. It does appear though that the graphics received an upgrade from Diablo III (3) and Diablo Immortal.
Since Diablo Immortal is the closest game we have to compare Diablo 4 against, we will review its system requirements.
Diablo Immortal – Minimum System Requirements
- Windows 10 / 11
- Intel Core i3 or AMD FX-8100
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or Radeon 6850
- 4GB RAM
Diablo Immortal – Recommended System Requirements
- Windows 10 / 11
- Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 or Radeon RX470
- 8GB RAM
Analysis for Diablo Immortal’s System Requirements
These system requirements are a step above Diablo III (3) but will be below Diablo 4. The Core i3 processor is a very widely used processor but it may not be powerful enough to be considered a minimum or recommended processor in 2023 for a AAA game.
The GTX 460 series graphics cards were released in 2010. By the time Diablo 4 comes out, that line will be 12 years old. The sizes of those cards came in 1GB VRAM or 2GB VRAM configurations. It would be hard to imagine that or any card close to it would be a requirement for a AAA title like Diablo 4 in 2023.
In terms of memory, 4GB does not seem like a realistic minimum and 8GB a recommended configuration. It would not be surprising, if Blizzard sets the minimums at 8GB and recommended at 16GB. The reason for that is some benchmarks for Diablo Immortal at 4GB show low performance. That could be especially true if there are other applications running in the background as is most often the case.

Please note that this list of system requirements is entirely an educated guess based on what we know so far of the game. It is meant as a helpful guide for those who are looking to upgrade their PC’s today but plan to play Diablo 4 when it is released. This list of system requirements is probably above and beyond what they may be once released. The list is in line with modern AAA games released in 2022 that provide a rich immersive graphical experience. This list of system requirements is a giant leap ahead of Diablo: Immortal.
