The purpose of this article is to provide you with my review of the ZOTAC GAMING GTX 1650 graphics card. The GeForce GTX 1650 is the cheapest in-production graphics card on the market. It is powerful enough to play a lot of the AAA games on the market. I will provide a list of games and the performance expectations you should have towards the end of this post. Is the GTX 1650 good for 1440P? I would not try it on most AAA games. Same with 4K. But, if you want to get good graphics and a good gaming experience on 1080P resolution, then the GTX 1650 SUPER is a good choice for a new graphics card on a budget. It is the most widely used graphics card today, according to Steam’s November 2022 Hardware Survey.

About the NVIDIA GTX 1600 Series
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1600 series graphics cards offer a lot of choices for low-end budget graphics cards that still offer quality. There are a few to choose from and knowing what makes them different will give you insight into which one to get. You don’t want to overpay and you don’t want to buy something that you’re not happy with. I would say that in my review I would not recommend going with any previous generation of NVIDIA graphics cards (such as 1050 Ti). That is due to the fact that you’re going to be paying just as much for older an older architecture (i.e. Pascal). The 1600 cards are on the Turing architecture.
NVIDIA GTX 1600 series cards:
- GeForce GTX 1630
- GeForce GTX 1650 (G5)
- GeForce GTX 1650 (G6)
- GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER
- GeForce GTX 1660
- GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER
- GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
Price and Performance Review of the ZOTAC GTX 1650
In my review, I would say that for a price-point of around $150, ZOTAC GAMING GeForce GTX 1650 is your best bet for a new graphics card. Starting at the 1630, you may be looking at a price of around $150 on Amazon.com. The 1650 SUPER pricing is out of whack and likely due to the fact that they have low inventory and is listed somewhere around $300. The GTX 1660 is also a good GPU but you are looking at spending $200. And if you’re at that point, I would just fork over the additional $30 and get the 1660 SUPER. So if you’re not willing to stretch your price point another $80, I would stick with the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce GTX 1650.
Review of Games for the ZOTAC GTX 1650
I do recommend the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 for modern AAA game titles, like Warzone 2, Fortnite, and Battlefield 2042. The reason being is because you should be able to play on medium-high quality graphics settings at 1080P resolution. Here is a list of games you should be able to play on 1080P resolution with medium-high graphics settings at 60 FPS or higher:
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) (see cheapest graphics cards for COD MW2 here)
- Call of Duty: Warzone
- Call of Duty: Vanguard
- CS:GO
- Battlefield 2042
- PUBG: Battlegrounds
- Fortnite
- Minecraft
- Ghost Song
- SIGNALIS
- World of Warcraft
- Dota 2
- Apex Legends
- Lost Ark
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Team Fortress 2
- Warhammer: Vermintide 2
- Victoria 3
- Football Manager 2023
- Metal: Hellsinger
- Sunday Gold
- Rust
- Harvestella
- War Thunder
- New World
- Unturned
In my review, the games listed below are out of scope for the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce GTX 1650. You may meet the minimum system requirements for these games, but that’s it. I would not recommend it. You should look at the 1660 SUPER or RTX 3050 instead.
- Far Cry 6
- Halo: Infinite
- Elden Ring (Elden Ring caps out at 60 FPS so you should see results between 50-60 FPS)
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- NARAKA: BLADEPOINT
- Sonic Frontiers
- The Entropy Centre
- Gotham Knights
Conclusion – Is the 1650 Worth it?
I would say in my review that the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce GTX 1650 is definitely worth it for a low-budget graphics card. You will be fine if you have a monitor display resolution of 1080P (1920 x 1080) and you are okay with not playing some of the latest and greatest AAA game titles on high graphic settings. If you are looking for anything more than that, I would direct you towards the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series (e.g. 3070 Ti).
