The purpose of this post is to talk about the RTX 2070 SUPER performance for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) and Warzone 2.0. First, I will give an overview of the RTX 2070 SUPER. Then, I will compare it to the system requirements for COD MW2 and Warzone 2.0. After that, I will provide you with the best in-game settings for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) and Warzone 2.0.

About the RTX 2070 SUPER
The RTX 2070 SUPER graphics card is based on the Turing architecture. The Turing architecture is an upgrade from the GTX 10 series cards which had Pascal as its foundational architecture. Within the upgrade, came technological advances around image rasterization and ray tracing (hence RTX). That means, that the 20 series graphics cards (including the RTX 2070 SUPER) is more efficient at producing frames per second as well as handling the way that light is reflected. For Modern Warfare 2, you can think of this as graphics as it relates to explosions, fire, shadows, etcetera.
The RTX 2070 SUPER was released in 2019, along with many of the other 20 series cards with an MSRP of $499. Although the RTX 2060 and 2060 SUPER were brought back into production in 2021 (due to a lack of inventory of other cards), the 2070 SUPER was not. That being said, they can still be found online. However, buyer beware! There has been a lot of scams around graphics cards. You should only buy from trusted sources.
The RTX 2070 SUPER has the following technical specs:
- 2,560 CUDA Cores
- 1.77 GHz Boost Clock
- 1.61 GHz Base Clock
- 8GB GDDR6 Memory
If you can’t find the 2070 SUPER online, then the next best alternative is the RTX 3070 or RTX 3070 Ti. I provided a benchmark review for the RTX 3070 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) here.
System Requirements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0
The RTX 2070 SUPER far exceeds the recommended system requirements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0. The recommended requirements only call for a GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580. These graphics cards were released circa 2015-2016, so in computer years they are now dinosaurs. That being said, they can still run Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 well on decent settings with 1080P resolution.

Conclusion
The RTX 2070 SUPER is a great graphics card for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 – if you already have it. Buying it online may present some risk due to all the fraudulent graphics cards that have flooded the market and reports of consumers being scammed. You should read my article on the cheapest graphics cards for COD MW2 if you’re looking to play on high graphics with 1080P resolution. If you are evaluating a new graphics card for higher performance, I would point you to the RTX 3070 or RTX 3070 Ti. Both of them will perform very well for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
