According to benchmarks so far, the NVIDIA RTX 3060 proves to be a good choice for gamers who want to save a little money and are not terribly concerned with performance but want to play Elden Ring. Gamers will be able to play in 1080P, 1440P, and 4K with the RTX 3060. But many will also be asking whether or not their graphics card can handle Elden Ring.
Elden Ring continues to smash the gaming charts in terms of popularity and there is great news for gamer’s who don’t meet the game’s system requirements for their graphics card. According to multiple sources, including The Verge, NVIDIA and AMD prices are dropping. Tom’s Hardware just reported that in May alone, prices dropped by about 15%. Elden Ring is still pretty new, only having been released on February 25th, 2022. It has already sold over 13 million copies and some estimate that number to increase to 20 million or more. In March alone it sold over a million copies.
According to the Steam Hardware Survey, only a little over half of players have what it takes to meet the minimum system requirements when it comes to their graphics card. That spells a big opportunity for NVIDIA GPU upgrades, and many will likely convert to the RTX 30 series, which includes the RTX 3060.

NVIDIA RTX 3060 For Elden Ring – 4K Benchmark
It is clear that for anyone who enjoys 60+ FPS and maximum graphics at 4K resolution, that the RTX 3060 is probably not the GPU of choice for Elden Ring. It gets a paltry 30 FPS on maximum settings, ~40 FPS on medium settings and ~50 FPS on low. But low settings and 4K would be difficult to swallow for some. The RTX 3060 is more ideal for those who want to play Elden Ring on 1440P or 1080P resolutions
NVIDIA RTX 3060 For Elden Ring – 1440P Benchmark
The RTX 3060 is much better suited for 1440P than 4K for Elden Ring. On low settings, gamers can expect about 80 FPS, medium settings result at about 60 FPS, and maximum settings result in around 50 FPS.
1080P Benchmark
The RTX 3060 is even more well suited for 1080P than either 1440P or 4K resolutions with Elden Ring. For those who are not aware, 1080P is what most professional gamers choose due to its higher performance. That being said, 1080P is not quite as immersive as 1440P and definitely not as immersive as 4K resolutions. The RTX 3060 will pump out around 100 FPS on low settings, 90 FPS on medium settings, and 75 FPS on maximum settings, which is okay if your monitor only has a refresh rate of 75 Hz or 60 Hz.
