The purpose of this article is to provide RTX 3060 FPS Benchmarks for COD: Modern Warfare 2 (Warzone 2.0). The benchmarks provided in this review are in FPS, or frames per second. This benchmarking method indicates how many images frames the graphics card can produce in a second. You should look at this data to understand well you can play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Warzone 2.0).

Benchmarking The RTX 3060 for COD MW2 (Warzone 2.0)
You need to know the variables that impact graphics card performance in order to understand benchmarking the RTX 3060 for COD MW2 (Warzone 2.0). If you get this wrong, the data provided here may not be applicable to your situation. There are really three variables you need to be aware of for this benchmark: resolution, in-game settings, and your other hardware components like RAM and CPU.
At a minimum, you want to at least have 60 FPS on any game. When you have lower than 60 FPS, you may encounter stuttering, lag, or choppy-ness in your gaming experience. Changing resolutions from 1080P to 1440P to 4K will have a direct impact on how well your graphics card performs. Therefore, we will be looking at all three of these resolutions when benchmarking the FPS of the RTX 3060 against Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Warzone 2.0).
The other major variable with benchmarking FPS is in-game settings. Changing your graphics settings from Low, to Medium, to High, to Ultra will impact your performance differently. We will provide an overview of each graphics setting on each resolution.
The last thing to note with benchmarking you need to be aware of is the other hardware components. Other hardware components, like CPU, RAM, and storage can be bottlenecks to performance. Even your monitor’s refresh rate can limit your performance. Your graphics card may be overkill if your CPU and RAM cannot deliver game data fast enough to your graphics card.
PC Hardware for This Benchmark
The hardware for this benchmark is listed below as a guide. This is the hardware that was used for getting these FPS numbers.
- Processor: Intel Core i5 12600K Unlocked
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz
- Storage: Corsair Force Series MP600 2TB Gen4 PCIe X4 NVMe M.2 SSD
- Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 XC Gaming
The i7-4770K is listed on the recommended system requirements for Call of Duty: Modernwarfare 2 (2022). Intel Core i5 12600K processors are vastly superior to the i7-4770K processors. That’s because it has 10 cores vs 4, max turbo frequency of 4.9GHz vs 3.9GHz and base frequency of 3.7. It also has 20MB of cache vs 8MB of cache.
Benchmarks on the RTX 3060 for COD MW2 Warzone 2.0
The benchmark test methodology was to test Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Warzone 2.0) using high graphics settings and against 1080P, 1440P, and 4K resolutions.

At 1080P resolution on high settings, the average FPS achieved was 90. At this rate, you want to make sure to have a monitor that has a higher refresh rate than the typical 60Hz or 75 Hz. Your monitor is limited by its refresh rate and won’t display more frames per-second than it can. It is a 1:1 ratio, so 60 FPS should be aligned with a 60Hz monitor.
At 1440P resolution, an average of about 75 was achieved. You’re trading off a little bit of performance for a bigger screen with the ability to see more and have a rich graphical experience. 75 FPS is still good performance and should not result in any lag, choppy-ness or stuttering.
The RTX 3060, however, was not meant for 4K gaming and this is a case in point. 40-50FPS is playable but do expect to experience stuttering. It’s not horrible, but it also defeats the purpose. You want to have a good gaming experience at 4K resolution. That’s why you game at 4K.
