The NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti is showing itself to be a good graphics card for Elden Ring and are supported by these benchmarks. It does not, however have the best performance benchmarks for 4K. Those who game in 1440P or 1080P resolutions should have a better immersive experience while enjoying this game.
Popularity of Elden Ring
Elden Ring has over 13 million copies sold since February 25th, 2022 and continues to outpace its peers. Games like Tekken 7 have sold 9 million copies and Resident Evil: Village has sold 6 million copies. Elden Ring’s system requirements will be a challenge for many who wish to play it. That’s according to Steam’s May 2022 Hardware Survey. It shows that only a little over half of gamers on the platform will be able to meet Elden Ring’s minimum system requirements. Only a little bit more than those who meet minimum requirements will be able to handle its “recommended” requirements. For that reason, there is a big opportunity for NVIDIA to capitalize on the fact that many will want to upgrade their old NVIDIA GPUs.
Current State of GPU Prices
The past two years have been difficult for gamers who want to upgrade to the latest and greatest graphics cards. According to PCWorld, Low supply due to COVID shutting down manufacturing plants, the international logistics supply chain issues, crypto miners, and scalpers have all contributed to an excessive street price for graphics cards. Demand from gamers also drove prices up. People were sent home to isolate and had been looking for new sources of entertainment. That being said, GPU prices seem to now be returning to some sort of normalcy. Tom’s Hardware reported that in May alone, prices dropped by about 15%.
