I am writing this article to provide you with my review for the RTX 4070 Ti for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. Will the RTX 4070 Ti work for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty? Yes, but you should be aware of which resolution you play it on and adjust your expectations accordingly. I provide a breakdown below.
The graph above shows that the RTX 4070 Ti benchmarks measured in FPS (frames per second). FPS is how we measure the performance of graphics cards against games. It tells us how many frames per second is being delivered to the screen. Lower FPS means lower performance and higher FPS means higher performance. We also measure on different resolutions. The most common in today’s world is 1080P, 1440P and 4K.
For this review, the graphics settings are at their max on Cyberpunk 2077. When we look at the results of the performance of the RTX 4070 Ti, we can see that on 4K, the average FPS was right around 55 FPS. on 1440P, 75 FPS was achieved, and on 1080P, 115 FPS was achieved.
60 FPS is considered to provide a good gaming experience. So these results tells us that although you can play Cyberpunk 2077 on 4K resolution, it’s not quite there and you may experience some jitter. The game plays much better on 1440P and 1080P resolutions.
RTX 4070 Ti PC Build Review
When looking at these results, it’s important to understand the kind of PC that can achieve these FPS numbers in Cyberpunk 2077. RTX 4070 Ti Measured Against Other Games
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is considered a graphics-intense that requires beefy PC components to play well. Given the fact that you can play 4K with this GPU (albeit at around 50-55 FPS) tells you that this GPU and PC build will play almost any other game on the market well. Conclusion
The RTX 4070 Ti is really meant for 1080P and 1440P resolution performance gaming with graphics settings turned all the way up. Although you can play games like Fortnite, Elden Ring, Apex Legends, COD MW3 and Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K resolution on high graphics settings, you will experience sub-60 FPS. You should make sure your PC is well-balanced if you plan to upgrade or build your own. This GPU is well suited for a 12th or 11th gen i7 processor and 16GB of RAM. That being said, I would not do anything less than that for the RTX 4070 Ti. You would be sinking your cash.
