The purpose of this article is to provide a review of the Skytech Archangel 3.0 and the games you can play on it. I will provide a overview of the entire build and its most important details along with expected resolution and graphics settings you can have on a multitude of games.
I will focus on the hardware included that’s most important to game performance and high quality graphics. This will include the processor, RAM, hard drive, and graphics card.
Overview of the Skytech Archangel 3.0
The Archangel 3.0 is coming in under a $1,000. So, who is the target audience of this build? You should buy this PC is you are okay with good graphics at 1080P resolution and don’t care about super high FPS (frames per second). This build is comparable to the Skytech Nebula, but not quite as good. It gets you in the door on entry-level PC gaming without breaking the bank. At the time of this post, it’s selling for $879.99. If you’re not in the know about gaming and resolution, 1080P is the most common resolution being used for gaming today, according to the latest Steam Hardware Survey.
I think the Skytech Archangel has a good processor, good graphics card, good amount of RAM and storage capacity. It’s a good entry-level gaming PC and probably one of the cheaper ones you will find out there that is any good.
If you can’t quite fork over the amount of dollars for the Archangel 3.0, I would point you to the Mini PC X1 review. The Mini PC X1 is a low budget gaming PC for those who really don’t care about performance or graphics but want to experience PC gaming.
For those who want to play games at 1440P or 4K resolution, I would recommend reviewing the Skytech Blaze 3.0. The Skytech Blaze 3.0 is meant for gamers who are serious about graphics and performance.
All Skytech PCs are made in the U.S.A. (so you get U.S. based support) and they come with a 1-year warranty with lifetime technical support.

Review of Skytech Archangel’s Processor
The Skytech Archangel comes with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-core 3.6Ghz processor. It has a max boost frequency of 4.2Ghz. Being that it has 6-cores, it is going to meet or exceed the recommended system requirements of any new game that gets released in 2022-2023.
We have not really seen mainstream games released that have requirements for 8-cores. You really are only going to need 8-cores or more if you plan on competitive gaming with a monitor that has a high refresh rate, streaming, gaming, and running multiple background processes.
That being said, let’s take a look at how this processor ranks against the system requirements for Warzone 2.0 – a modern AAA game in 2022.

You can see that Competitive Specs call out for an AMD Ryzen 7 1800X. Ultra 4K Specs call out an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X. Competitive Specs would allow you to play at 1440P resolution with maximum graphics settings. The Ultra 4K Specs would allow you to play on 4K resolution with maximum graphics settings.
Cores (Threads) | Base Clock | Boost Clock | L3 Cache | |
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | 6 (12) | 3.6 | 4.0 | 32MB |
AMD Ryzen 7 1800X | 8 (16) | 3.6 | 4.0 | 16MB |
AMD Ryzen 9 3900X | 12 (24) | 3.8 | 4.6 | 64MB |
You can see from the table above that the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 does not quite make the list for competitive gaming. This is truly a processor that exceeds the recommended system requirements, but does not quite make it in to the upper levels of processing power. Again, this all fits into the picture of the target audience for the Skytech Nebula.
Skytech Nebula – RAM and Hard Drive
RAM: The Skytech Nebula comes with 16GB of DDR4 3200MHz. I have said this in other reviews of Skytech gaming PCs: I would not go less than 16GB of RAM for a new PC. 16GB of RAM should be your bare minimum for a new gaming PC. Could you go down to 8GB? Yes, but your performance would suffer, especially if you have background apps running.
Another thing to consider is that DDR5 memory will be mainstream in the years to come. However, DDR4 is mainstream today and is a good selection for the Skytech Nebula’s target audience.
Hard Drive: The Skytech Nebula comes with a 500GB NVMe SSD drive. NVMe is the latest in storage technology and is 6 times the speed of traditional SSD. 500GB of storage capacity will allow you to have enough storage for any modern game. If you need to add storage down the road, you can.
What Games Can I Play on the Skytech Archangel 3.0?
The processor, RAM, hard drive, and graphics card all play important roles in determining the games you can play. The most important component with this build that we need to focus on will be the graphics card. NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER is a lower-level graphics card released in 2019. It was made for entry-level gaming along with the 3050, 3050 Ti, and 3060. It is limited to pretty much 1080P gaming at high graphics quality.
